The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in conjunction with the laboratory of Dr. Jack Riordan and Dr. Martina Gentzsch of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are pleased to offer anti CFTR antibodies to the cystic fibrosis research community.

These antibodies are high affinity reagents that recognize sequences across the entire CFTR protein. Antibodies are supplied in 0.2 ml aliquots for a minimal charge of $60 to cover costs. A FedEx account number must be provided for shipping. Payments in the form of Purchase Orders and wire transfers are accepted. Wire transfer payments must be indicated on the order form and an additional $25 processing fee will be applied to the invoice to cover bank charges. Instructions for placing the wire transfer will be included in the shipment. Alas, other forms of payment such as credit cards can not be accepted

To obtain antibodies, an MTA form must be filled out and submitted to Tim Jensen at UNC. Once the MTA has been executed by UNC, the antibodies can be shipped.

For further information on the available antibodies, forms, and current references, please follow the links provided. If you have questions regarding the antibodies, feel free to contact Tim Jensen .

Below is an example of immunostaining and a Western blot done using antibody 570 and BHK cells expressing CFTR. The immunostaining clearly shows CFTR localizing to the plasma membrane and intracellularly. The Western blot shows a clean CFTR signal confirming the specificity of the antibody and CFTR localization in the immunostaining.
